As we put the Christmas holiday behind us and began settling into 2010 we took some time to review the top selling prints of 2009 on Vintagraph. Without any fanfare we present the top 3 selling prints:

The most popular print on the site by far was "Keep Your Teeth Clean," a 1938 Works Progress Administration silkscreen poster promoting oral hygiene (seen above). This image has been extremely popular as a print since we first introduced it. In fact, we have one hanging our children's bathroom.

"See America," a 1939 work illustrated by Alexander Dux for the WPA Federal Art Project poster, was our second most popular print. It's also one of our favorites and looks marvelous as a reproduction.

Rounding out the top three is "King Pelican Iceberg Lettuce," a crate lable used in the 1920s by packers F.S. and F.E. King of Clarksburg California. Crate labels were used to market and differentiate vegetable and fruit packer brands at farmer markets where people purchased most of their produce.
