This fruit crate label was used on Louisiana Golden Power Brand Yams, c. 1940s: 'Hand selected. Hand packed. Sweet potatoes. Product of U.S.A. Packed for Friedman & Broussard, Lafayette, LA.' Crate labels were a frequent means of marketing fruit and vegetable packer brands at the turn of the century.
