Illustrated by Miguel A. Rodriquez for the WPA in Illinois, this 1942 Civil Defense poster shows a man lying on the sidewalk next to an automobile crashed into a lamp post and reads: 'Evite Accidentes. No se quede en la calle durante una alarma.' Roughly translated to, 'Prevent accidents by not staying on the street during an alarm.'
About Our Prints
We print on mould-made 100% cotton rag, acid-free archival papers or heavyweight Exhibition Gallery Canvas. We use professional Epson printers with 10-color Ultrachrome inks. Each print is inspected before shipping.
8.5x11 and 11x17 prints have .50-inch margins, 19x13 prints have 1-inch margins and 22x17 prints have 1.5 inch margins. 30x24 Special Edition and 47x34 Magnum prints have 2-inch margins. Canvas prints have slightly wider margins for stretching. Because all images do not exactly share the dimensions of our papers, there is often a wider margin along the narrowest side.
