The Streamlined Comet

Presenting the Comet. New streamlined air-conditioned train from the New York, New Haven and HartFord Railroad Co. To operate in regular service between Boston and Providence. 1935.

The Comet was a three-car, double-ended train built to run out of the cramped terminus at South Station in Boston. The double-ended design allowed it to run in both directions without being turned.

About Our Prints

We print on mould-made 100% cotton rag, acid-free archival papers or heavyweight Exhibition Gallery Canvas. We use professional Epson printers with 10-color Ultrachrome inks. Each print is inspected before shipping.

8.5x11 and 11x17 prints have .50-inch margins,
19x13 prints have 1-inch margins and
22x17 prints have 1.5 inch margins. 30x24 Special Edition and 47x34 Magnum prints have 2-inch margins. Canvas prints have slightly wider margins for stretching. Because all images do not exactly share the dimensions of our papers, there is often a wider margin along the narrowest side.
