The last in a set of 12 WWII posters featuring the wholesome pinup Margie Stewart. Most Margie war bond posters featured a handwritten letter. This one reads, "hardly any new clothes this season - but wait till you come home! I'm salting away my money now, so we can have the things that matter then, and I'm glad you're saving too. Love, Margie."
Margie Stewart was born on Dec. 14, 1919 and died on April 26, 2012 at the age of 92. In addition to the WWII posters, Stewart appeared in about 20 movies for RKO. Read Margie Stewart's obituary.
