This fruit crate label was used on Frisco California Vegetables, c. 1940s: 'Frisco Brand California Vegetables. Packed by Merrill Packing Company. Salinas, Calif. U.S.A.' Crate labels were a frequent means of marketing fruit and vegetable packer brands at the turn of the century.
