Harley Earl's '63 Corvette Stingray on the auction block June 02 2009

The beauty of auctions is they frequently give us a glimpse at rare items that otherwise might sit hidden in a collector's private colelction. This 1963 Corvette Stingray hits the auction block at the end of June and was custom built by General Motors for legendary automobile designer Harley Earl. The car sports a custom paint job, unique side-mounted exhaust and a blue, custom-leather interior with white trim. Earl kept the car for two years and could be seen sporting around Palm Beach, Florida, in the Stingray.
