This fruit crate label was used on Turnbull India River Citrus, c. 1930s: 'Turnbull Brand. Turnbull Hammock settled in 1767 by Andrew Turnbull. Original home of the world's famous Indian River Oranges and Grapefruit. Seald Sweet. Grown and packed by Oak Hill Citrus Growers Assn. Oak Hill, Florida.' Crate labels were a frequent means of marketing fruit and vegetable packer brands at the turn of the century.
