This illustration by Charles Dana Gibson was simply titled, 'The Weaker Sex.' The pen and ink illustration was first published in Collier's weekly on July 4, 1903. Gibson is most famous for his creationg of the iconic Gibson Girls and his work appeared in a number of New York City publications at the turn of the century.
