Wake Up, America! Civilization Calls Every Man Woman and Child! This vintage WWI poster alerted U.S. citizens to the country's entry into the war and the need to mobilize. The United States entered WWI on April 6, 1917 and thirteen days later on April 19 this poster was used for New York City's "Wake Up, America" day. Illustrated by Montgomery Flagg.
