Quadruple Saturn Moon Transit

Regular price $20.00

This photo from NASA's Hubble Space Telescope shows a quadruple Saturn moon transit. The image was snapped by Hubble on February 29, 2009. The unique alignment seen in this photo gave astronomers an opportunity to capture a 'parade of celestial bodies' crossing Saturn's face. The largest body is the giant moon Titan, which is bigger than the planet Mercury. Several much smaller icy moons line up along the upper edge of the rings.
